SURVEY ON COMMUNITIES’ INCENTIVES FOR ECOSYSTEM SERVICES, LANDUSE/ LAND TENURE, AND BIOMASS PRODUCTS OF PEATLAND FORESTS IN CENTRAL KALIMANTAN: “Survey on Incomes from Swallow Houses”

The Survey on the estimation of the income of the local communities generated from swallow houses had already been conducted starting from 8th  until 18th  December 2016. There are 5 villages as mentioned in the scope of works visited with the total of 50 respondents as the target of survey within the District of Sabangau Kuala. However, the 50 respondents targeted were not met. There were only 41 respondents could be interviewed. This was due to the fact that there were many swallow houses newly built and have not been productive yet. To fulfil the target respondents, we went interviewed 9 respondents from two other villages, I,.e  3 respondents from Bantanan village (downstream of Sabagau river, 30 minutes from Paduran Mulia village, by slow boat ), and 6 respondents from Muara Paduran village, next to Paduran Mulia Village (Up stream of Sabangau river, 20 minutes by slow boat. Both Bantanan and Muara Paduran villages are in Sabangau Kuala District.
